They are tried and tested in all kinds of spring weather conditions. Their dark colours are perfect for both casual and elegant clothing options. Urban Outfitters and Call it Spring make sure you stay comfy and trendy this season.
Marion Dequeker, 24
Shoes are travelling partners for Dequeker. “I bought these Nike shoes because I was going to ride one thousand kilometres on a bicycle trip, so I needed something very comfortable,” she said. Her go to pair of kicks for the spring are Vans.
Charley Yip, 18
“Shoes must match my outfit. I don’t really like girly footwear, so I wear sneakers and Adidas Originals are my choice for this spring,” Yip says.
Ying Hu, 23
“Jordans are so trendy and comfortable. This is a must have pair of shoes for this spring,” Hu says. In her shoes choices, she follows Korean sport style of footwear.
Jordan Lee, 30
“I am a personal trainer, I am on my feet 16 hours a day and so I need comfort. I express myself through my style of shoes. We have stationary uniforms that we have to wear, so I want to add something from my personality. Wearing flashy colours on my feet is the way that I am able to differentiate myself from other trainers,” Lee says.
Meiye Huang, 17
“New Balance is my favourite brand of sneakers and they are extremely comfortable. They are simple and my personality is simple too, I am easy to get along with,” Huang says. Her go to pair of sneakers for the spring are New Balance.
Matthew Koniuszewski, 25
“Footwear is really important to me because I have knee pain. DC shoes are plain and I am tone down, not very flashy. I want to buy a pair of boat shoes this spring, they are pretty nice,” Koniuszewski says.
Valerine Borghesi, 18
“Footwear is important because it completes your outfit and makes you different from others. My shoes are from Urban Outfitters they are very typical, I have never seen these on anyone else. I feel like this style of shoes takes on a mainstream style of black army boot, but it makes it sway and more modernized. It might sounds ugly, but I saw a really cute pair of open toe boots that I could buy for this spring,” Borghesi says.
Chris Gollop, 25
“My shoes do what they are supposed to do, they are made for skateboard and I skateboard. You have to protect your feet. If you don’t have good shoes on your feet, it also says something about you. Jim Greco shoes can give me support while I am skateboarding. I have to stand up straight and have strong back, basically skateboarding hurts if you don’t ware proper shoes,” Gollop says.
Jonathan Mitton, 19
“I like to skateboard, Vans are easy to move around with and slip on. My personality is kind of lazy, so I like to be able to put my shoes fast. People look at your shoes and judge you based on your footwear,” Mitton says.
Raquelle Collins, 21
“Spring shoes are everyday shoes, they go with everything. I like black because I don’t have any troubles matching it and I can wear them any season. Footwear can really bring out an outfit, heels or wedges are my go to pairs of shoes this spring,” Collins says.
